GATHERING UPDATE

Many of you will remember David Coulter as the Battalion's Padre in Munster?  David is now Chaplain General and the army's most senior clergyman.   Along with Padre Ivan Warwick, David will be taking the service on the Sunday of the Gathering.

If you haven't already done so, please sign up to the Gathering and come along to say hello to David

55th Anniversary Gathering

Arrangements have already started to plan the 55th Anniversary Gathering of the Regiment. As before it will be held at Cameron Barracks and will be on Saturday 11th June and Sunday 12th June 2016. As the 2011 Gathering was so successful, it is not intended to change the programme very much apart from on Saturday morning organising coaches to take those who would like to visit the Museum at Fort George.

The Gathering is for all Queen’s Own Highlanders, Seaforth Highlanders, Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, Attached Personnel, TA Blue Hackle Company’s, and our Cadet Battalion Officers and Adults and wives/partners and close family members.

The outline programme is:

Saturday 11th June.

1400       Welcome from Association Pipes and Drums

                Lunch

                Beating of Retreat

                President’s Address

                Ceilidh

2200 Bar closes

Sunday 12th June

1100       Drumhead Service

                Lunch

Farewell from Association Pipes and Drums

1430       Bar closes

Over 1400 came to the Gathering in 2011. We hope very much to exceed this in 2016 so do apply to come either using the application on the website or by mail to RHQ Mrs Brenda Ross, Cameron Barracks, Inverness IV2 3XE.

I very much hope that you can come,
James Murray
